To add a word to the dictionary for the current document, right-click on the underlined word (i.e., what the application thinks is misspelled) and select Learn.

To add a word to the global dictionary for the entire application, i.e., for all documents, hold down the Alt/Option or Shift key and right-click on the underlined word, then select Learn Globally.
